Default Can someone copy/paste instructions from PDF?

Here in Afghanistan our internet connection is sub 9600 baud and even when I try to download the damn PDF instructions for the 2005 Cobb WRX it doesn't really work.

Basically, I am coming home on mid-tour leave already (it sucks, after just three months, I have to take mid-tour due to personnel constraints here) and thinking about buying the AP and having it waiting.

Now, that being said, I have the wonderful luck of something always happening when I try to install a mod on my car. So this time I just want to see exactly what I need to do ahead of time, and therefore I don't waste precious time spent with the wife pissing around on the internet and bouncing back to my car with instructions.

I dont have any performance mods yet, so this will be the first. So obviously being in Texas instead of the People's Republic of California, I can get 93 octane gas much to the disappointment of the staunch environmentalists.

So I just need the part copied and pasted where it tells me exactly what to do, as far as putting it in the for the first time on the Stage 1 93 map. I am assuming I just need to pull it out of the box, plug it in, select the Stage 1 93 map (correct me if I am wrong, it should be pre-installed), and download it as the base map.

But the parts I dont see on the site (without downloading the near impossible 2mb PDF file on this crappy govt laptop) is how to download the basemap, how to marry the AP, and how to switch the maps (though there probably wont be too much switching, except maybe to valet mode when I go to VEgas while home on leave.

Thanks a lot, or if someone feels like linking me or taking a second to tell exactly what to do, I would be eternally grateful.

Yea I have the link, it just is really really really really slow and times out here. I have been to the site many-a-time reading up on it. There is a little curser with an arrow on the menu bar...you select the text and then copy and paste as usual.

How is a Word file gonna help? Still one big file over a itty-bitty modem.

Here ya go, brother: http://www.droppedclutch.com/carpics/apusersguide

I converted it to an indexed HTML file. At least this way it is in more manageable pieces for your slow connection. Some of it isn't perfect, because of how conversion programs interrupt some PDF structures. But I hope it's good enough for now. Please let me know when you are done with it, so I can delete it.

.....installing AP is almost as easy as catching something from a REAL cheap street hooker.

the step by step instructions include making sure your battery is at 100% so ya don't run outa juice and frag yer ECU and THAT is about the ONLY thing that can go wrong unless ya get/got a bad cable or do something dumb like kick the plug out mid-flash

Well I have been known to screw up some stuff, but I think I should be able to get this right...more or less I just dont want to waste too much time when I get home putting it in, away from the wife, since i will only be home about two weeks.

Should take you about 1/2 hour even if you're messing around. Took me about 20 - 25 minutes while drinking a glass of wine.
