Default protune maps

Hello, I have cobb stg 2.5 and im getting a protune from slowboy racing this sat. My mods are vf34, tbe/up catless, pink injectors, stock bov, intake silencer delete, huge ebay tmic/hoses, walbro 255, cobb light pulley. My question is I can get two maps, Im trying to set my car up for autox running 93oct so that will be one map (as much low end tourqe as possible). I dont want to run race fuel and I dont want to run something crazy like 19psi(I want my car to last a while and not blow up) so what should I ask for on my second map?

Thanks

If you are planning on any other types of comp. You might want to inquire about a STU map

Is an stu map, race fuel map? Im somewhat concerned about the longevity of my engine, plus im not looking to put up record book numbers. How much punch would a economy map have?

Not much. I recommended it because it seems like you don't want to thrash your car and it would be stress free knowing you're being gentle on it - and save some gas on the way to your track events!

wrxer@psualt,
Please post the results and your impression of your SlowBoy Tuning experience. I am considering SlowBoy as a tuning option also. I've heard all good things about SlowBoy ever since I relocated to this area 5 yrs. ago. They have built their reputation around Diamond Stars, and I know that they have been working with Subaru's for awhile now.
I am confident that if they haven't already cracked the Subaru code they will in the future. Please let us know.

Steve, The slowboy tune experience was great. I got tuned by Nate, I have the vf34-pinks set up I only made 234whp which i beleve is about 40whp low compaired to about everyone else with my same mods. But i think the problem is my car, NOT the tuner b/c despite the low #s i did gain 22whp. When I got to slowboy they showed me around there shop, and I watched the entire dyno tune and nate explained what he did. There shop is amazing, the owners sti was there, it made 600some whp but they were installing a larger turbo when i was there. Like you said they are big on dsm, there 1st gen drag car was there which makes 1200whp i beleve. So long story short they know what there doing, and I recomend them.

Eric
