Default Stock exhaust heat shield bolts

If I replace all the stock front exhaust heat shield bolts with stainless steel bolts will they not rust as bad as the stock one's? These things are a pain to get off, even after soaking them for hours with penetrating oil. If I need to get back in there in the future (replace gasket,etc...) and I will, I would like it to be a little easier. Most of my time spent replacing the uppipe lower gasket was spent on the heat shield bolts.

Any suggestions?

Yes you can replce them w/ stainless. Dont torque the stainless too much. and be sure to use good antisieze on them all. coat them liberally. Sometimes the stainless and carbon steel of the capture nut will corrode together w/ the heat and salt.

permatex rated to 1500F will work good.

LyveWRX nailed it. There are torque specs online you can find that will give torque specs for whatever stainless fasteners you use. High temp antisieze is a good idea too.
