Default '94 JDM uppipe vs 2002+usdm uppipe

Are they interchangable? I've been working on replacing the head gasket on my jdm engine, and the uppipe fell out from between the turbo and exhaust manifold in two pieces

I'm trying to avoid spending money on an aftermarket one, or a jdm one. Cause I am poor, and just need to get my car running!

Dimensionally, they are the same, with the only difference being the JDM one is catless. If you don't have access to one locally, let me know. I have a used JDM one sitting in my pile of parts...

Default JDM up pipe

This place sells newly jet coated JDM up pipes for 50 bucks. They also have a ton of older ej20's laying around and very fair prices for parts.
