Post Pics from the US meet!

Here we are Fri night at KCIR. It was a small showing due to others traveling....

And of course the Rally!! What a blast!!!....

And I have to point out my good friend Anthony. He originally was going to buy an impreza, but because they are becoming hard to find, (and he does not like the new style) he got something...else. So did he race my car? uh, ...heck no! (I just got that thing back together!) But he did race HIS car. a 2001 Ford mustang V6! His times were not as good as the subies, but his heart was in the right place. And I have to say that he was very, hesitant to even come much less race. but as he talked with the other memebers, they made him feel welcome and gave him some confidence. (thanks guys ) well here he is:

If you did not make it, you missed out big time. And there is still a auto cross tommarow.

Stay tuned, there was a slight casualty to a memebers car...., but it turned out to a be a sentimental part of the meet...

Oh, and Peaty,...we missed you there bud.

Also thought 'i would add Peaty's collection of pics...
here is the link of the pic's from KCIR from him: http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...a=13218470&f=0

Thumbs up

Well I got back from the Auto-X just a bit ago. It was Kool to see so many Impreza at the race. At one heat I think every other car was an Impreza. What a good bunch of people we had show. It was really a pleasure putting a face w/ a name. It rained early but then cleared up by the second heat. I've added 25 more pics to this site which combines Friday and Sunday. At this link:

Sorry you couldn't make it Mike but as you say I understand.

Apparently yesterday this:

Caused this:

The wheel got ripped off and left the lugs in place. Felt funny scratching my name in the fender though.

Ah, the quarter panel souvenir - precious! That and the ripped wheel will be something Shawn can tell his grandchildren about...

More pics, videos, etc., please! I hope we can get most of this stuff posted somewhere, that would be great.

Here are a few pics that my roommate took at the Rally-x.
A pair of monkeys. That's me on the right.

Someone with Subaru on the brain.

"Getting dusty out here"!

Someone drifting threw the big sweeper.

Ah, the big hairpin!

More to come!

Did anybody else notice the ghost that was caught on film in Peatys second picture? Spooky huh? I wonder if she was killed in that car or something?

Looks like you guys are having fun. Wish we could all be there.

That is the ghost of "fenders Past"...

I believe that is Shawn's GF.
And on that Note, all the GF's were real troopers enduring a lot for their BF's. Big props out to them. Especially Sprite who not only taped the whole thing with a small video studio on her shoulder (older camcorder)but she also saved me big time when she grabbed my sunglasses off the table the morning of the rally. Not that they helped me drive any better, but still....

Oh, and I just finished cleaning out my car. Could someone ask shawn if he or his dad want the other half of their field back?!

Thanks again to Shawn, his dad, and the track prep team. They went to a lot of work to make sure we had a good time.
As well to the SCCA guys that helped out, and especially Pat, who pretty much organized the whole thing with only a little help from me on small stuff.Your the man Pat.

Now that we have tested the waters, and know what we need to do in the future, with more planning time, more cordination, and better notice for particapation, we will have an even bigger one next year!!
