Default Clicking/Popping Sound underneath Drivers Seat

My issue:
06 STI

Seems the seat has a popping underneath it that sounds like something is loose or not seated correctly.
Possibly the runners are not bolted in thoroughly and are pushing up when the seat has weight pushed against it( I dont know I aint no mechanic).

I aint no fatty so please save the "dude, lay off the donuts" (lol).

There is no rattling at idle so it isn't a situation where anything is rattling, and everthing else seems solid.
The seat doesn;t have anymore give in it .
Adjusts and moves like the day I bought it.

I know this car has lots of rattles and NVH stuff but I was simply curious if anyone else had this issue.

I am going to the dealership next weekend for an oil change and a 3M rockblocker application so I will def have them check into it.

Just curious if anyone else has this issue.

Thanks in advance

When does the so-called "popping" occur? If it's on turns, maybe check to see that all four bolts securing the seat to the floorboard are tight.

Nope doesn't happen on turns or have anything to do with steering.
It is only when force is put against the drivers seat like when you are depressing the clutch, braking or adjusting yourself in the seat.

I checked and checked again but Adam West was not underneath the seat.

Take it to the dealer and let them look at it. You are obviously within warranty period.

I had the same issue. It turned out that the rails were a bit loose and they needed to replace the rails. They told me that the rails would be on backorder for a few weeks.I asked them if it was safe to drive with my seat like that. The dealer said that the seats have some "play" and perfectley normal he even told me that they were actually doing me a "courtesy" replacing the rails. I didnt belive that BS so I told him that if I drove with my seat like this and my seat broke I would SUE the hell out of them. He then proceded to give me a loaner Forester for 2 days and replaced my complete seat assembly under warranty.
