Default I think my ECU is fried?

Here is my story. I do a turbo swap and injectors and then load vf34 map. I prime my turbo and let idle for ten minutes. I then take it for a very mild drive around the block because it's late at nite and I'm tired. Well everything seemed fine as I'm driving around and as I approach a stop sign as I'm on my way back home about a 1/2 mile away the car dies and the gauges flip out. The temp gauge goes all the way up and the gas gauge goes all the way down. Well I turn it off and try and restart it but it won't turn over, it just cranks away but it dosent fire up. So I push it back and to the side of the road. At first I check under the hood to see if anything is wrong and the only thing I found was I left the cap open on the overflow tank next to the radiator. I have a few hand tools with me so I try a hard reset but come up with the same results. Now I try and reset with the AP but I noticed something different. The backlight on the AP is real dim when pluged in and the oil, brake, and battery lights on the dash are on but very dim with the key turned off. I unplug the AP and I start hearing this clicking type sound coming from the fuel pump area. I plug the AP back in and it stops. So I turn the key to the on position and the AP turns off. I unplug the AP do another hard reset with the battery and plug the AP back in and all seems normal now until I turn the key to the on position again and the AP turns off the gauges go back up and down gas light comes on but I just filled up yesterday. The AP will not connect with the ECU at all. Well to make a long story short I think my ECU is fried but how is my question? I was supposed to get a protune tomorrow but now I have to find a way to get my car back home. Sucks cause this is my only car. I'm tired and going to bed not knowing what the hell is wrong.

Hmmm...that's sucks. I don't know for sure, so I'm going to throw some things out here hoping we can figure it out.

Did you unplug the green connectors under the dash and remove the additional connector that comes with the AP after you flashed and before you started driving?

Did you disconnect a ground somewhere under the hood durring the install, or not reconnect one tight enough that might have come loose? I'm not good with electrical systems, so this might not even be what I think it is. On the driver's side at the top of the intake manifold there is what I believed to be a ground bolted to the manifold. I had to undo it when I was doing my injectors.

That's the best I can come up with. Sounds like an electrical problem though, so I am sure someone more experienced in this field will chime in soon.

Good luck and let us know what the problem is/was when you get it fixed.

Yeah I unpluged the two green and the little white one they supplied before starting. Yeah I had to unhook the grounds on both sides of the manifold when I swaped out injectors but I put those back on nice and tight. Could sparkplugs be my problem here? I put new one step colder plugs in and gaped them at .028 It just seemed wierd that the AP would turn off when I turned the ignition on and it wouldn't connect at all.

I doubt spark plugs would have much to do with the guages going wacky. Maybe if you were having a misfire then yeah, they plugs.

Does the car seem to have good power, you said the AP's light was dim. Was the dome or headlights dim?
