Default Test mode - help please!

Just got my AP for a 2005 OBXT. Connected the green wires on the passenger side (that was easy), but, when I turn the key to the "on" position, I get the fans cycling, etc., but the check engine light doesn't flash. Is it OK to go ahead anyway? I note that the instructions say there is a second set of connectors on the Impreza and Forester models, but I don't seem to have those.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I have done the 02 wrx and just did my 06 WRX. On both models there where 2 sets of connectors. One on the passenger side that are supposed to be connected fro mthe dealer. And one set under the drivers side that only need to be connected to put the car in test mode.

Now I cant see why the OBXT would be any different. Check around under the dirvers side as when I went to do my 06 they had the wires taped up and they where a little hard to see right away.

Thanks. Interesting that my passenger side wires were not connected from the dealer, which made me think those were all I had to do.

I just installed my AP on my 02 WRX the other night..

did the green connectors and then the single one...turned key...nuttin.

took awhile to find the passenger side connectors...they were on the right hand side behind the kick plate...but when i found them they were already connected.

After searching on here and the Cobb site and not really finding a direct answer I just tried it all again, hooked it up and let 'er rip. The install went fine with no issues.

I've been enjoying it since...very glad.

All set. Didn't need to get the CEL flash; just went ahead with the S1 93 program. Wow.....I can't wait to see what Stage 2 is like!
