Default FATT Summit point 3-24, who went?

I had my FATT this weekend. I am one step closer to having my solo license at Summit point. Once I am signed off for solo seat time at 2 tracks I can eventually apply for my HPDE 4 permit for NASA.

Yeah yeah, my next mod for the car is Weight Watchers.

My first few laps were a disaster. You notice the blue shoes in the first pic, I had on the matching gloves. Seems I didn't like them, the gloves came off after the first round. I also had not beded in the front brakes well enough.

From the very start, I had a perfect understanding of the line. Then again I studied the course map for several hours the days running up to the event.

This was one of my decent laps in the 3rd heat. Sorry it is a poor photo, I bought 2 posters of my best corner shots. This is a shot of the smaller one. Look at the right rear tire, that is the mudflap on the ground and the front left wheel trying to lift. I was able to modulate this in all the high speed corners. Also notice the ANDREWTECH stickers on the front.

For those in the know with Summit Point. On turn 4, I maxed out my entry speed at 100 MPH, hence the 9/10th score on the last run, braked to 35-40 for the throw away corner. I would then take everything through turn 8 at 50+, after that it was a steady roll up to max throttle in 4th through turn 9 and hitting turn 10 at 130. Then I would take the 10 to 1 straight easy letting the V-8s blow past for the "win". None of them advance.

My instructor said I had a near perfect line on most of my slower runs and my inputs were at 95% on the faster runs. I needed more finesse work to learn my input speeds at different entry speeds. Car never got sideways once unless I choose to toss the back end out with some throttle lift to rotate the car in turn 7.

The driver did well but the car did just as well. Andrew at Andrewtech Automotive set the car up and for a baseline starting point it performed beautifully. Thanks to the Andrewtech guys I was able to advance to HPDE 2 at Summit point on the first attempt in a brand new car setup.
