I'm tuning a gt-12 turbo in a ported and polished ceramic coated sbr hotside but with a much larger compressor cover. Running an EWG, tial 38mm.

What did you want to know?

How expensive is that turbo, What are the specs that people have gained from it?

Honestly I'm not sure what the price of the turbo will be... it was an experimental build that we put together that they hadn't done before, I would guess at around the $1400-1600 price range. As for specs, what specs are you wanting??? If you're looking for horsepower numbers you'll need to stay tuned, haven't got it on the dyno yet, still busy road tuning it to where i want it before making a couple day trip to get to a dyno. then i'll get some numbers up with it on the 2.0L and then I'll get new numbers up with the 2.5L in.

If you don't mind, throw up the map when you get tuned so we can have a peak at what they did. Who's doing the tuning?

I made 304awhp on pump gas at Topspeed
I didn't get to dyno any race gas but was told by them and the guys at SBR that with the C16 I should be able to yield about 350awhp on that particular dyno at Topspeed and on a dynopak it would be a little higher

not bad, what psi did they tune it for?? would you mind posting up the map so I can have a look at what they did? Particularily the timing map and boost curve if possible. Also what afr did they tune you to?

Tuned at 18psi is what I was told but in a 4th gear pull I did I hit 1.4bar which is actually more like 20.31psi
I'm going to get some of the C16 soon and turn the boost up a bit to about 1.5ish which would be about 21.75psi-23psi give or take
I have to get them to email me the maps over, hopefully by tomorrow
The afr was roughly 11.2 ish and then ran down to mid 10 towards redline
It was supposed to be pretty conservative

You don't have the maps loaded onto your UTEC

Since this is in the Utec forum, I was also under the impression that you had a utec.. I'd still like to see what the timing map looks like if they can email it to you. Just from working with the -12, it doesn't even start to wake up till 20+psi. I run mine at about 22.5 psi daily on 94 pump

that's right, nothing internal done to the block at all, full stock USDM 2L... I've had it up to 24psi on pump but mostly just by accident, put the boost up a little too high to begin with and hadn't tuned the boost levels/load sites in the middle yet so turned it back down. I'm currently running 22.5-23 holding till redline and am just tuning that area before I turn it up to 24. The -12 didn't really start to feel good until I got to about 22psi. the difference between 18-22psi on this cartridge is huge!!!! the compressor map for this cartridge is really made for higher pressures and works best at around 20-22psi from what I have read and experienced. I am however running an atmo EWG so i run a fair bit less timing as alot of tuners suggest with an open dumping EWG. I've tried upping timing a few degrees and had no difference in feel of power in the car so I backed it back down for safety. I have been suggested by a few tuners that timing should be run about 4-6 degrees less than normal with an EWG dumping. Anyway I digress, but yes this turbo is made to run more boost than 18psi, I would run at least 20psi daily and I would personally consider that conservative on the -12.

not yet, i wanted to finish tuning it first... so hopefully soon! I basically have to tune on the spare moments I get commuting to and from work, don't really have the time to go out and just do run after run.

I might even try a 35 shot to help spool up quicker
Because like we've said it's one heck of a turbo for a 2.0l stockblock
