I usually get about 300 miles per tank, and then all of a sudden with out changing my driving habits I got 370 miles on one tank, and the fill up was 12 gallons. Thats just over 30 mpg.
This tank was half highway cruising at 90 mph with the ac and stereo on, and the second half was city driving. If this keeps up I'll be sittin pretty during the price hikes this summer . |

What may have happened was that the tank you got 370mi on was filled to the brim, but the subsequent 12 gallon fillup didn't fill the tank to capacity. Even though you may have used say 14 gallons, you're mistakenly dividing 370 by 12 instead of 370 by 14. In fact, this happens quite noticeably if you fill the tank on a really cold day, then fill the next tank on a really hot day.
But regardless, 370mi per tank is pretty sweet, I must say! |

I've gotten about 30mpg when I went to Vegas from L.A. I also had my A/C on and cruising at 90 and hitting 110 or so every now and then. BTW, my RS is a 4EAT

50/50 highway/city driving my Scoob's achieved 373 MPT. (miles per tank).
Fillup was 13.9 gallons. Long distance freeway trips should net over 400 mpt no problem. ![]() Skylab*™ |

I've got 3300 miles and a new oil change, I'm thinking mileage may be creeping up nearer to 30 mpg soon. It has been reported before here that the mileage has gone up after break-in.

I feel like im gettin bad gas mileage on my WRX. Its at about 180 miles an less ten 1/4 of a tank to go.? Hmm, very weird. You all seem to be gettin 30 mpg. That is AWESOME!! ga in new york is at about 2.03-2.10 fo 93 octane and 94 is at about 2.15? What is it with this damn gas price?

I think I got like 31 mpg when I made the six hour trip from NY to VA, probably doing about 65-70 with no A/C. Pretty damn good compared to the 23-24 I usually get around town.

I usually get 22-23MPG, cause altough there are highways here, you never really go past 20MPH unless you go out at 10PM. On a trip I recently went to Jersey, I did get 32MPG!! God I wanna get out of NYC!!!

I noticed my mileage has started creeping up on me too. I had been hovering around 22 MPG for a while, but now I am up aroung 25 MPG, and no freeway driving. Whats up with that?

I've got 73K on the odo and usually get 340-370 with mixed driving. I think the highest I ever hit was 420 on the highway...flat...no A/C...No stops.

When I used to have my 98RS, the best mileage I got was 27 MPG on a trip, most of it spent "sitting" at 55 MPH.
![]() I usually average about 25-26 MPG, though. Didn't think that was too bad for the way I drove it sometimes. ![]() The first two tanks with my new WRX Sport Wagon have netted 23.6 MPG. Only 550 miles on the odo. ~Sleeper |

I once borrowed my dads truck (with out asking) and put in a few dollars worth of gas so he wouldn't notice. A few days later, I heard him talking about what awesome gas mileage he got.

When I picked up my WRXwagon from deadbolt's shop for the first time, I obtained 380miles off the first tank (all hwy miles) going back to Chapel Hill. Since then, I can average anywhere from 275 to 325miles per 13 gallons. I'm not complaining...

Well, with the gas prices going wacko in Canada, I have to adjust my foot a bit. With that said, I got ~400 miles (635KM) with 15 USGallon fill-up (58 liters). Scared to death worrying whether the car will reach the gas station at Point Roberts though...

is the tank 14 or 15 gallons, cause a number of times I've filled up to 15.1 (in oregon you're noot allowed to pump your own gas ie its all full serve) whats up with that?
I'm willing to bet if I spent a whole tank BELOW 4500 and drove like my mom i would get like 30+ mpg |

I average 26-27 mpg with the occasional 28 mpg - daily driving. Saw 34+ on a trip from Rochester to Toronto - round trip on one tank!

I must have a lead foot with a anchor on top. If I see 25mph its a miracle. My average is about 20mpg. I just can't control the excitment of driving my car. It is so much fun to drive, and the handling. The handling is unbelievable. All I want is to have the fastest, smoothest corners possible without screwing up the heel/toe.
Could this car be any funner? |
