uummmm......... is this normal??

i was driving on the highway goin about 70mph and at a steady 3k/rpm. but when i go fater then 70 and as the rpm goes higher, i can feel and hear the car vibrate as if its srtuck on 3rd gear and wanting to go to 4th. is this normal? i've never noticed this b4 until i was goin home last night..anyone knows whats goin on here??

well, 70mph @ 3k rpms sounds like you are in 4th, overdrive. Next time shift it into (3) and see if that still feels the same.
Also, try and drive in (2) up and down the rpm range and see if you can get that to reproduce, or will it only happen when above 70mph? If it only happens above 70mph then you might have something elese other than the tranny making funny feelings. Like bearings, tires, or cv joints. Good Luck

thanks for the info. STi. i was also thinkin the same thing, i THINK.......its the tires. cause i had an accident a while back where i had to get my framed pulled. my car spun 180* and my wheels hit the curb goin 30-40 mph and pretty much messed up my alingment and the wheels. well i hope it is, if not then i guess i'll found out sonner or later.
