Ok quick question...(I briefly searched the thread and could not find much):

Would adjustable lower rear control arms for the 08+ STi (GTSpec, SPC, Agency Power, etc) be legal for STU?

There was some discussion in the STX thread that only the SPC might be legal with the right bushing, however legality of the control arms might be different for the 08+ STi's because of the stock bushings that are used....

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Not being specifically familiar with the parts you reference, the above are the relevant allowances. Seems to me that the bushing material is free under 14.8.B, as long as there is no increase in volume of metal.

Well I am confused as well. At least half of the people I have talked to say it is a unique event because it is both Evolution Super Shootout and National Tour. The competitors got 4 runs today for the tour and I think their PAX placement then brings them into the Super Shootout tomorrow or something like that? Among some other interesting changes they made for this event. But I believe John has things wrapped up for STU after today. I know Dave M. told me strait up that he won STS for weekend, so I am guessing class winners are decided today.

Today's 4 runs determine the class winners and the top 32 automatic qualifiers for the shootout. Tomorrow morning they'll have a last chance qualifier for everyone else and take the top 32 of Sunday AM to get to the 64 field for the shootout.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I had some motor mount issues that sent me home before trying to run the shootout. The course was lots of fun - ran 2/3rds of the course in 3rd gear. It was seriously cold and windy. I'm still glad I live in Texas.

I kind of wish I could make it out to St. Louis with a co-driver so I could have another chance against national competitors this year! Especially because John P. will be running and I would love to run against those guys again. No tires and who knows if I would have time to get out there.

One last event for the season, Philly SCCA Dover. This time not in the SSM RX7, but rather in the STU Evo IX (formally Corey 2007/2009 STU ProSolo Championship car for those who don't know I switched from the STI) against Luster's STi and John's BDR Evo IX. This may be my last event with the car since I have a baby due in March.

So lame, you should have been there. Even Jake came down from NYC! Thanks to the seriously bumpy Dover lot, I ripped out the driver side fender liner. Due to the wiring harness being just above the tire, I decided not to risk possibly destroying it with all those bumps and didn't take my last three runs. I'll have to fix that at some point during the off season.

Time to call it quits until Feb/March. Who's up for going down to Dixie?

Yeah yeah. The reschedule messed everything up.

Josh, you are welcome to check out the central TX weather whenever you like, we run all year and still have 2 more events in December

It is strange how all of that extra seat time doesn't translate into more champion drivers in our region, though. We only have the Strelnieks, the Hollis's, The Wooton's, and Drew VanderPloeg who have broken through. One of these days...
