Question Another CE light question

Replaced the fuel filter in my '98 Legacy GT Wagon over the weekend, one of the few maintenance items I've had personal time for recently. Now the CE light is blinking at me. Manual says a loose gas cap can cause the light to blink, so I'm guessing that de-pressurizing the system by popping the filter has had the same effect. The manual was less helpful when it came to clearing the error indication. In the loose gas cap scenario, it says be more careful ablut tightening the cap and the light should go off in a couple of tankfuls. Am I going to have to watch this light blink for a month? Or is there some secret icantation I can say over my offended monitoring computer that will convince it all is well?
Thanks
Dave

Just reset the ECU.

Might want to double check the connections on your fuel filter. I didn't have this problem when I replaced mine.

Well, Gavin,
THAT was interesting. Based on your reply, I went back and searched on ECU Reset and found a message that mentioned mating up a pair of connectors under the dash and going through a specific sequence to clear the ECU.
The <other> task I undertook this weekend was trying to track down why my electric radio antenna has stopped working - I was all over under the dash trying to find its fuse (which I didn't) AND connected this one loose pair of wires (green with a matched set of green connectors). Went out just now and pulled 'em apart ... Whaddaya know, the light didn't come on when I restarted.
Will wait to see if the performance changes on the drive home.
Still haven't found the fuses for the antenna.

Wow, I'm surprised that the only problem you had was the flashing light. I would have thought your engine would have been running funky, too.
