he should try again. Cant run open loop fueling? hmmm seems like OLF was required for the 04 ecu due to some problems with the transition. Call turboxs and see what they say.

With the new version 5 software you can use injector scalling with closed loop.
Turn on maf scalling and then just adjust the injector size in the olf menu.

That's what i did.

Ironically, they do mention it in the software upgrades page.

See... the UTEC DOES work with an automatic transmission, in closed loop fueling. But due to the fact that the OL/CL fuel transition can be detrimental to an engines life, you sort of HAVE to use OLF on a 04+.

Which in part implies that the UTEC is unusable for a 4EAT.

I still have my UTEC sitting on the desk next to me. One day, I'd hope, they will release something for the automatic crowd. Then I can go back and check out any of the features they have at that time (speed density, etc).

Until then, I'm still using my AccessPort.

You still can't use OLF but you may be able to use the UTEC with version 5 firmware. Use the MAF scaling option and use classic MAF mod based fueling.

The 02/03 does not have the closed to open loop delay issue that the 04's have. Not perfect but should work.
