Default Highest whp & best 1/4 mile w/ a VF39 on a 2.5L block on only pump gas?

Looking for dyno numbers or 1/4 mile times on tuned 2.5L VF39 set-ups on just pump gas (no race gas or alky injection).

I'm thinking about doing a VF39 install w/ STI intercooler, Cobb AP and a protune later this year....

FYI, I've seen these numbers Cobb posted for a VF39 w/ STI TMIC and their ots MAP for the '06 WRX:

And I've also seen the ots dyno plot for their Stage 2 STI:

Nice times and set-up! With those trap speeds and a 1.7-1.860ft, you could be in the 12's!!!

Are you using 91, 92 or 93 octane out in WA?

Don't remember the dyno numbers but..

Cobb downpipe (cat), borla hush, perrin short ram, UTEC tuned by F1Dyno, pure 93 octane:

12.891 @105

im guessing COBBs OTS VF39 map for the 06 WRXs will be good for 106-108mph trap speeds......you heard it here first.

From what Ive seen, COBBs mustand read about the same as dynojets, and with about 260-270whp on a dynojet, you should be able to run the above times.

Even though your car was tuned on 91, understand that the factory ecu always tries to advance timing as much as possible until knock is detected. Running 101 would therefore have raised the threshold before your ecu started to pull some timing. Your 109.8mph trap speed indicates that your car was responding very well to the higher octane!

yeah it made a diff. for sure. What i ment was it didn't do that much compared to being tuned on race gas. My best mph with 91 is 107.1 so almost 3mph between crap 91 and 101 untuned is pretty good for just gas.

A friend of mine made 280ish (maybe 290) whp and 330ft/lbs on a dynodynamics dyno with his stock turbo. I wonder what he'd make on a dynojet.

Maddad exhaust, W/I, ecutek
