Got the appointment. PDX is sending me another flashed Ecutek ECU to cure the stumbling idle issue this Friday, then off to E.L. Monday 0800. I'll post my results when finished. Will be getting a 93 & 110 map for the UTEC.
Previous E.L. dyno pull netted 277hp & 281ft/lbs. That was with the Mail-in PDX Ecutek stage 2 flash, APS 3" TBE w/cat and 65mm APS CAI. The CAI was added after the PDX tune, but PDX stated that it would work fine due to being 65mm and not the 70mm version. Have since added: Perrin GT30r .63 kit (Big Maf,Uppipe,Downpipe,Tial44mm) Perrin FMIC Perrin Fuel Rails NGK Iridium +1 colder PE 850cc injectors DTEC Pro EBC E.L Tumbler delete port/polish (gained 150cfm!) PDX Ecutek custom Mail-order flash UTEC

Doesn't seem your setup is far off of mine. Maybe they'll have something to go on after they finish mine.
FYI: My car has been in my posession so that I could make a new intake. I now have it and will be going back to EL. |

Picked up the car today. Was ready earlier, but have been very busy with out of town guests. WOW - I love it. Props to EL Chris and Brad for making sure I was thrilled with the final tune. EL will be sending me the Dyno graphs and when they do, I'll post them up. We made 355 on pump and 377 on Race fuel. My wastegate spring is too weak to hold the boost I was after, so the #s could have been higher. Down the road I'll replace the spring with a stiffer one. Just making a small post, headed out for some more driving! Will give more details at a later time. Thank you Enginelogic.

Pulls REALLY hard. I make sure I'm pointed the way I wanna go before mashing the throttle. :-)

Okay, maybe I'm just jealous I haven't seen the graphs, but I know my car made less power (about 20 less). The car has issues. It won't take the timing that other STis can. Plus it's making 1 psi less. Oh well, it will have to due. I haven't had a chance to pick the car up yet, but I'm eager to do so, so I can stop driving my beater all the time.....which isn't too bad considering the price of gas. |
