Default idle help

i got an 03wrx, invidia turbobackexh., coldair intake, stage2 clutch, and if your driving around for a couple hours it will idle normal but then after awhile it will idle up between 1200-1600 and the only way it will stop is if you tunr the car off for about 5min and ideas?

I don't have an intake, but I am willing to bet that might be the root of your problem. esp on th stock ecu the intake can be hell on the ecu. Maybe it is forcing the engine to adjust. Just throwing out ideas. Does anyone have any intelligent input as I am now spent.

You might read up on the IACV - idle air control valve. Sometimes they can get dirty and will cause such problems as you mention. There's a nice long thread on it, somewhere.

Ive got the same problem, only happens during especially heavy traffic(lots of low gear and clutch work), and it can jump up to almost 3k at idle. So your not the only one whose noticed something like that.
