Default after PPG gears..

So i currently have an 02 wrx with a vf34 w/supporting mods etc etc, i am getting ready to have andrew put in some Helical Synchored PPG Gears. After that i was thinking about sending the car down to King Pin Performance for a JDM V7 STi motor (Something about an 8 rev limit sounds nice! haha) But what do you guys think, USDM STi or JDM? It seems i can get a pretty good deal on the JDM Engine down there with the sale of my current engine. My only concern is tuning etc etc, would the JDM motor work fine with say a UTEC, hydra Access port etc etc?

David

Why gears first? I would match my gear ratios to the JDM's high rev limit.

Custom gear ratio's are extremely expensive. Someone asked Andrew that in a post a month or so back.
