Default cobb accessport questions

Im very new to all of this stuff but im trying to learn as much as possible about the accessport. I own a 2004 wrx 4eat with 34,000 miles. The car is stock except for the silencer delete. Now I am researching the cobb accessport to buy for the car, my question is when i buy this I would like to flash a stage one base map, is it as simple as getting the map off the website and flashing it to the ecu? Do I need to have the car professinally tuned or would I be fine? And also what kind of reliability can I expect from this since this is my only car? This accessport seems so simple to use it seems like there is more to it, im just wondering if im missing something? Please help me out, im really confused about it all...

The AP comes with I think 10 base maps and 10 realtime maps. You can get more offline but it will have 91 and 93 stage one maps. Its as simple as plugging it in hitting a few buttons and your good to go. You dont need a professional tune for this. Cobbs maps are known to be pretty conservative with the tune so you should be fine.

The Cobb AP is very user friendly. At stage one you can run cobb maps. Anything higher I would encourage you to look into the PDXTuning maps. The Cobb AP holds up to 10 maps. All Cobb maps can be downloaded from their website.
