Default Finally bought my Scooby (06 STi)

Hi all! I've been on these forums for a while, but I just finally took the plunge and bought a new 2006 Aspen White STi. Not really new to modding or Subaru's, I've just never owned one myself. =]

Planning on light engine mods, probably intake, catback, bigger TMIC, and a tune. Probably a stage 1 suspension drop, and hopefully some lightweight Volk wheels, gold with a polished lip. Also want to swap these ugly 06 tail lights for some 04-05's

But first I need to break the car in. Any advice? Was planning on keeping it under 4k for 1000 miles, and change the oil at 1500 and 3000 then every 3000 thereafter.

Nice to finally join in the fun rather than sitting on the outside admiring =]

First, congrats on the car!!!
i went ahead and put in synthetic after the first 1000 miles. And yes, keeping the car off tons of boost is probably a good idea as well.
There are varying opinions on the frequency of changing the oil on these cars, i generally stick to approx. 3-4K miles, but my car has all kinds of mods so i try to be extra careful with that stuff. ( i also check the oil every time i gas up).
