Default Built Forester Block?

Hey everyone I have a spare ej25 shortblock from a 00/01 forester

im about to turbo my 99RS so this will be a good backup block for if my engine blows

-what I'm wondering is if STi pistons/rings and rods will fit in the 00/01 forester ej25 block

if the sti rods dont fit, ive been told ej22t rods will
can i use ej22t rods with sti pistons?

my power goals are 275-300 wheel hp using my stock 99 SOHC heads

i know the open deck design wont really allow me to build a complete monster, but this will hold me off till I get an ej22t or ej257

any help would be appreciated for now, thanks!
