How the ones that sit under the hood work? If it's under the hood you can't access it??? I'm confused.

The "hidden" one will only have the center section exposed that has the locking mechanism is accessible.

If you get the one that sits on top. It will be just like the image of the 240.00 Where the entire lock will sit on top of you hood.

Ok so the hidden one doesn't really hide that much then? Just that outside lip that screws to the hood?

Yes that is correct. However it will sit flush with the hood. Instead of on top of it.

How hard are they to install? My hood popped up this morning and that wasn't a pleasant feeling at 60 mph!

They require cutting out a hole out of the hood to place the latch.
