Default EJ20h wiring

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or ecu pinout for a JDM EJ20h ? It came out of a 1996 Legacy. pictures on http://www.tomdewing.co.uk.

I am trying to put it into a hovercraft I am building but it is turning out to be an uphill battle and the hill is steep! I think I have most of the components now, I have the main firewall harness , but that still leaves lots of wires going from the ecu to the smj that I need to connect - including MAF sensor, Crank & cam sensors, solenoid box and others!

Any info anyone has would be greatly apprecieted!

i ended up using my stock 94 impreza harness.
Sense most of the sensors are already on the 1.8 harness, i replaced the ej20 harness w/ a ej18 harness in the engine. however sense the 1.8 doesnt have COP igniton, i had to add ignition wires, a wire for the TPS, and add all the wires for ignitor/ignition module, and for the MAP sensor, Pressure exchange solenorid, and the WG controll. Its all straight forward, after that you just need to add a couple of grounds, and ill work.

which ecu did you use? presumably the 94 ecu will not run the ej20h? do you have a pinout for the ecu?

well i was in a little diff. situation then you.
I had a EJ20G w/ a EJ20G ecu, however i didnt have a EJ20G harness. So i bought a Ej20H harness, to only find out that its quite diff. from the EJ20G harness that i needed.
And what pinouts do you need? the info i used was off this website http://www.northursalia.com/modifica...ng/wiring.html ,i had to do a bit of prep work and a good amount of homework before i actualy got to the wiring part of it. It took me about a week to get all my wiring done, but i had to figure some things as i went. The 1st time i tried to start the car, it wasnt pritty. After having some issues i started trouble shooting and all the other fun stuff. all in all i spent about a week and a 1/2 on wiring alone. Be prepared to get frustrated if you do it this way, if you have basic knowledge of electrical it wont be hard to figgurt it out. Try to get a osylascope(sp?) so you can view wave patterns, that things made wiring go by allot faster, and got rid of allot of guess work on seeing if a circuit was working properly.

yeah I have a reasonable amount of electronic engineering knowledge and an occiliscope, but it takes a lot to work it all out, esp. as I only have half the harness. Reverse engineering the ecu is too time consuming. I have managed to get another japanese diagram (an ecu system i/o) which has proved most helpful. I am still unsure of the pinouts for the three solenoid box plugs, and the plug on the right hand side of the engine if anyone has these appears to be cam and crank sensor amongst others. it would take some working out because I'm not sure which pins on them are power, signal and ground!

Yes a hovercraft! they suggest using the EA-81/82 or EJ22 NA but I figure give it a little more power and put the EJ20 TT in it and I managed to get a *complete* EJ20h with AT (which I'm not using) for $800.

*edit: forgot to add - pictures of hovercraft - http://www.tomdewing.co.uk, its a UH-18 http://www.hovercraft.com.

not sure about that, im in the us - houston tx. have tried subaru NA but they are not helpfull. can't find an email for uk or aus which is the other place they might have been sold.

my current wiring problem is the maf sensor. anyone know which pin is which? I don't have the plug, I have a pinout and i/o diagram that I have managed to translate so I have found the wires, i just dont know which pins to connect them to. It may have to be a trial and error job but i'm reluctant to do that cos that may break something! the same is true for the MAP sensotr, nk sensor, cam sensor, knock sensor and solenoid box (I have the solenoids sorted because they are polarity independant) but there is a switch in there with 3 pins which I dont know about! anyone got pinouts for any of this?

@snowman4us - I sent you a pm about the harness did you get it? Can you send me some pictures and do you have the front harness - gray smj to solenoid box, rh engine, MAF sensor etc. if so can you trace some pins for me?
