Default Cobb Stage 1, Stage 2

I was wondering what kind of gains Cobb S1 gets, the site says 325hp and it is $600 something dollars for the kit and Stage 2 is $1700 something for the 04 STi and it makes 350hp... doesn't sound right, EVO's don't even make that power that cheap, what is the typical gain expectancy for Cobb S1 on an STi, to the wheels... and S2 as well to the wheels. What does Stage 1 NOT come with? and what is recommended for supporting mods for the kits? Stage 1 and Stage 2 individually

Stage 1 is nothing but adjusted maps to help the car run smoother. You will see some gains, more obvious on 06s I've heard, but nothing major.
Stage 2 requires a downpipe but they suggest a full TBE. Once again it adjusts the maps and ups the boost to ~14.5 I believe.

Anyone else notice the car sounds a little different after AP Stage 1 on an STI?
Car sounds a little more mechanical to my ears....is this normal??

It isn't throwing any codes, car is smooth, still pulls as strong as before.
I guess I will give it a couple days more to catch up and learn.

Maybe it is the wastegate making more noise from the increased boost?

<----- noob

I'm running an 06 STi on Stage 1 right now and am hitting 16 PSI... (will be stage 2 this coming thursday as I ordered Invidia V3 Divorced Downpipe)
On a Cobb Stage 2 STi the numbers will generally range from 290AWHP/300+WTQ and about 310+AWHP/330AWTQ with a good protune.
