TurboXS Unichip on a 2004?

Hi,

I tought I had a 2003 ecu (swapped car) so I bought a TXS Unichip (old model) for it and now I found out I have a 2004 ecu/engine...

I know there are differences between 2002-03 and 2004 like open loop/closed loop etc...

But did anybody run the Unichip on a 2004? I plugged it in and it idles fine but I didn't risk running/boosting it...

Yes my only goal is to blow my engine... that's exactly why I'm asking this question before I put it on and go boost it...

No, it will not work on an 04. You'll get CEL's etc. because the 04 has quiet a few more sensors than the TXS harness has pins for. You can try to run it, just live with teh CEL's....but I'm not sure if the OL/CL delay gets over-ridden by the unichip on step-over. Not worth the risk for $100 (02-03 ECU price) IMHO.

You'll have to buy an 02-03 ECU if you want to use the chip (not a bad idea anyway!)
