Wait, it's out?

I thought it wasn't released yet.

Looks like I'll have to go out and spend some money tomorrow.

Most importantly!

I'm tired of crappy sounding vehicles in GT games.

NFS:MW has some AWESOME engine sounds.

The engine sounds in FIA GT are unbelievable.

Engine sound is definetely one of the larger contributing factors to realism in a motorsports game.

Agreed.

When the car sounds like it should, then it drives me to race harder and faster. Or at least makes the game a LOT more fun.

To me the sounds are awsome, you can deffinatly tell the diffrance from bike to bike. Graphics I would say are a better then GT4, the tracks are definatly smoother looking and cleaner. As far as realism, thats hard for me to tell. I have never riden a bike before But its ALOT harder to drive the bike around a track then it is a car from gt4. Highsides, low sides, tank slaper, speed wobble. Cant hit the sand or grass or youll dump the bike. AI crashes also. The riders riding style is full adjustable. You can set his lean, seat postion, how far his elboes hang out, how far the knee drops and all that kinda fun stuff. You also can have individual front and rear brake.

All in all its a great game.

Are you able to customize your bike at all? Or what your rider wears?

I know these are trivial factors but I've come to expect them from modern video games.

IIRC you can customise what he wears and the helmet.

Don't know about moding the bike though.

no bike mods really. On street bikes you get an option of an exhaust and tires. You can adjust setting on the bike though depending on the bike. Race bikes come "fully moded" and you can change tire compound front and rear. Also the bike is alot more adjustable then a street bike. Gear ratio, and all that good stuff. Also there is no money in the game. All the bikes are won. So for example say you want a XX bike, you have to beat 1 person on the track with in 2 or 3 laps depending on the bike. Beat them and the bike is yours. For the top of the line race bikes you have to run a hot lap under 1minute44seconds on the track.

And yes rider gear is full selectable. From race leathers, to street gear. helmits, jackets, pants, suits, gloves, and boots.

The main thing I dont really like is the biggest race(that I have done) has only had 3 othe riders on the track. Some races its only 1 other rider.

Is there a "squid" option where he wears oakleys, a wife beater, board shorts, and flip flops??

Went out and bought it today right before work and played it for 10 minutes. I must say, it's going to take some getting used to. The bikes accelerate so fast, that I *think* They can'tturn as well as they should, meanwhile I'm actually going into tight corners at 120mph.

The sounds are great though.

Going to have to expermint when I get home.

I want to make a rider with a wife beater, cargo shorts, and flip-flops. Can you do that?

There is a preview of the game HERE with a Buell. The graphix are cool, but the buell sounds absolutely nothing like that. Dunno about the other bikes. But man that looks like a great game!
Are they going to make it for Xbox? I have only seen it for PS2 so far.

That's as good as it gets... SCEA/polyphony clain there are more polygons with the bike + rider resulting in less vehicles...

This game is made by Sony, so it won't go to XBOX, ever.... or at least not until Halo goes to PS2

Here's 3 from a couple minutes ago. Took a while, but I can ride 12' noon wheelies all down the nurburgring straight now.

Oh, and the 999 rocks. I'm also starting to like the naked 1000+cc bikes
