Default Cobb ap Help...

I just bought a used AP off of a local guy, and Now I am home and trying to power it on, and I can't weem to get power to the damn thing. I plugged the connector to my computer and the ap, but I still can't turn it on. What am I doing wrong here? Is there something I'm missing, or did I just buy a crap AP?
Please let me know. Thanks.

Teh AP needs a power cord connected to it, in addition to the serial port connection, when using your home PC.

AP's can be over-powered by the incorrect power adapter.

That can cause an expensive repair bill

You know you could have tested it by just connecting it to your obd 2 port on your car right?
