Post Turbo-Centric is live...

Due to demand for a site with the Turbo Legacy in mind, i present to you Turbo-Centric.

It's basically a side-room to Legacy Central but it'll have content more fitting and relevant to the Turbo owner, myself included

http://www.xmission.com/~dac/centric.htm

Please give me your critisizm and input!

Looks like it's off to a good start Dave. Once you get some info and pictures from other Legacy Turbo guys, it will really start taking shape. I'll be sending you some pictures and info as soon as I get some good ones. Hopefully the others( Pete, Ben, Miller, etc) will be able to do the same.

It's off to a good start! I have a couple of pictures of my '92 Turbo Sedan if you are interested.

As for mods, I just picked up a TD04 turbo and intercooler from a MY'97 WRX that will be installed along with a full 3" exhaust, an Autometer EGT gauge (which will be installed BEFORE the new turbo) to go along with thier boost gauge. I am also working on a LCD temp gauge with two probes which I will use to moniter before/after turbo or intercooler temps, should prove entertaining

Send anything you have, it's all good!

I've already ordered my GR2 struts from SPD so i'll have those on by the end of the week. i can't wait, it makes such a huge difference!

16" GT wheels should be in by the end of the month, but no guarantees.

Give me a hand!

Damn Pete, nice mods Let us know as soon as you get your intake number temps, as I will have something to compare the ones I got a while ago. It would be very interesting to do the intake temp measurements with both the stock turbo and then the new one, just to see if the small size of the stocker really effects the intake air temp much compared to something a bit bigger. I'll be anticipating your EGT numbers as well as that is one of my "not so near" future upgrades

Dave, I will be sure to get some pictures ASAP as well as do a small write up on the Hallman Boost Controller for the site. This may turn into something decent. Thanks man.

Yup, first thing to get installed will be the gauges, I will check all the parameters with the 'stock' setup. I will even put the stock air snorkus and paper airfilter back in. Changes will be monitered and recorded. Due to the always changing temps and weather conditions and the fact that my mods won't be all installed until late fall I am going to concentrate on temperature diferentials. I am working on a temp display that will work with two type K thermocouples, this will allow me to install one before the turbo and one after, one before the intercooler and one after, etc.
