Cool Speedline wheels and stock lug nuts, yay or nay?

Hey guys,
I am about to receive some Speedline GT-1 wheels and I am wondering if I must get aftermarket lug nuts for them? From the pictures, it does not seem like they need tappered lugs but you can't tell for sure.

In a long run, I will definitely get a nice set of gold lug nuts to match the wheels but for now, I'd like to be able to just slap them on the car when the wheels arive and try them out. Thoughts?

My first set of summer wheels/tires....snif....snif.....very excited

I have 2 sets of Speedline wheels, one of which is a set of GT-1 lite 17x7.5.
I have always used OEM nuts on them.

Mike D02, thanks for the info. Much appreciated. How do you like the GT-1s? As far as I understand, they are pretty strong and durable. What kind of inflation are you running on your tires?

I used the stock lugs on my speedlines with no problems.

I like the Speedline wheels, not the lightest but straight and strong.
I start my 225/45/17 at 36f/30r and work from there. Your setup, location, roads, use will dictate your pressures .

Yuephoria, I picked up the wheels used from a guy in California. He had them on sale last week with some Fuzion tires. The wheels are not too common around here which is kinda nice. I am not sure how many US dealers there are of Speedline tires.
The wheels are listed at 18.5lbs which is not too bad for an 18" wheel. Wheel/tire combo right now weighs 40lbs so I will be adding 1.5 lbs per wheel. I might feel that. I did not notice a 1lb added when I ditched RE92s for Yokohamas.

Mike D2, thanks for the inflation info. Roads around here can be tough sometimes. I will experiment and go from there.

I have a set of Speedlines currently. They shipped from the UK with a 60 degree tapered lugnut. The wheels also have steel inserts in them to accept the 60 degree tapered lug nut. Not sure how the GT-1's are though...
