Now that gas is going through the roof time to get the (cringes) Honda running again. I have a 94 Honda Civic that I need some work done on. I live in the Santa Clarita Valley can anyone reccomend a honest inexpensive shop to take it in to?

I replaced the cap and rotor, the car worked for two days and now will not start. It turns over but will not catch. I assume some sort of electrical problem but I dont even know where to start.

Thanks for any advice or wisdom....

Default Shutoko Engineering

http://www.shutokoengineering.com/
Old Setup: Prior to Shutoko

I just want to let everyone know of the great experience I had at Shutoko Engineering. These guys went out of their way to get the work I needed done.
Here are the parts that needed to be installed in to my car.
1. STI short block swap
2. New turbo
3. New injectors
4. ARP Head bolt studs
5. Cometic Head gaskets
6. Cosworth hi flow oil pump
7. New waterpump
8. New belts
9. FMIC
10. BOV

NOTE: the catch can hoses have were replaced already. then knicks on the intercooler piping where already there. the FMIC was bought used.

New Setup: After Shutoko

Now most places I called quoted me about $1500.00 for the install of the short block alone. Shutoko charged me $1300.00 for the entire work and completed the install in a very timely manner.

The guys there are very knowledgeable about all makes and models of cars. They are also willing to work around your budget to get the best bang for buck for you. Shutoko has been building high horsepower motors for some time now. You can see a lot of their work on drift cars and Time attack cars.

They will also do rebuilds.
Here are some of their prices for installs:
Up pipe: $270
Up and down pipe: $300
Downpipe: $70
Turbo: $180
Fuel Pump: $70
Injectors: $180
FMIC: $300
Radiator: $180
Short Block Swap: $1200
Turbo Porting (out of car) $180
Clutch Replacement: $360
Timing Belt: $120
Spark plugs: $90
Eneos oil change with filter: $75
Transmission Change: $540
Coilovers: $150

Regular Maintance is available as well. Just call them an make an appointment

Those guys don't know what they are doing when they quote you $1k. I too got quoted that much. I went to Garage Tuning. They did a good job.

Tell Kevin that the crazy white GC8 guy sent you.

I just wanted to post on my great experience with Renner. They care about what they do and this is a very important when someone is working on my new car. The do great work and are fair about their prices. They also have some super fast Subies hanging around the shop you need to check out. They are a nice shop I you are looking in the L.A. area.

I have a pair of +100K mile Subarus and they have had some issues of late, I have been going to Renner Motorsports for the last six months and I must say they know what they are doing, have very fair prices and have great customer service.

Between Ivo and Mike ( formerly of http://www.spdusa.com/ ) they have a ton of experience with Subaru street and race cars. As a side bonus its great to go to the shop just to see all the 22B replicas / race cars in the lot.

I highly recommend them for any of your Subaru maintenance and tuning needs.
