Thinking of selling.. maybe

Ok, so I'm contemplating selling the Legacy. I had doubts about the engine swap after I found out my turbo xmember wouldn't bolt up. And to make it work, it involves taking the car to a body shop, and getting it worked on.

Car is fine the way it is, just won't take my turbo xmember as is.

So, I may be putting her back to stock, and selling it... maybe. Hard decision, because I really like the car. But if I do, all aftermarket will be up for sale, and I'll probably sell the car stock in the paper/autotrader.

Would anyone(potentially) be interested in my EJ20 engine? I'll probably go with a new Legacy when the time is right, so won't need this engine. '91 JDM EJ20, complete with everything. Computer, turbo, block, water intercooler, radiator, alternator, P/S pump, wiring...

If anyone IS interested, PM me with an offer. It might help me out in my decision of what to do. Plus I kind of want to put money into the boat this year.

Oh, and I have Morrettes, JDM tails(wagon), Defi gauges, Cusco swaybars, STi v5 dampers with H&R sport springs, 17x7 +48 wheels(Ribeas Sport, I believe made by Enkei)....

I'm open to offers at this point, but will not commit to any sales yet.

Man, it's kind of painful to type this. But future happiness is at stake..

edit: Almost forgot, I'd take the Exedy flywheel and clutch out too, for a standard one back in there. And Fujitsubo catback exhaust(3", Legalis R, actually designed for a BF, but works on BG)

Wow, you have a lot of the parts already. A turbo crossmember seems like a small thing holding you back.

I keep thinking about a boat as well, but my boss says;

Yes. After looking at my alignment specs, it shows my right front wheel to be behind and out of spec. I believe this to be my problem, and the car needs to be put on a frame machine, engine out, new crossmember in hand, for a body shop to fix it. There's a couple hundred right there, and I'm not sure the car will ever be right if I have that done.

What type of Defi gauges do you have? I'd be interested if they are white face. I'm looking for oil pressure, fuel pressure.

If you really like the Legacy, what's the chance of selling yours and buying another 2nd gen and then doing the swap? Perhaps it is too much trouble then, but I think you'll be losing a lot of dough selling your parts as well.

Well, I've been thinking about this quite a lot recently. And I think I'm around 75% towards sell now. I have an itch for a turbo diesel 2500 at the moment. I've been restoring my boat over the last few weeks, and got me to thinking. I'm sure I can find a LOT of old boats that need some TLC, and I might play with that for awhile.

Plus, I have a Ford ranger at the moment. It's my 3rd truck so far, so I obviously like em. 1st was an 85 F250, second was a 92 Toyota, and now this Ranger. But I'd kinda like a mid 90s GM turbo diesel 2500.

So I may go away from the AWD for a bit, to play with the big trucks. Although I'd certainly like a 2nd vehicle as a Suby, I'm just not in a financial position(going to school now) to do so.

Sooooo..... I think I'm going to sell off the aftermarkets now. And I'll need some stock parts(as I actually never intended to sell the car, so I got rid of some).

Parts I'll need:
Flywheel and clutch(if both are decent)
Exhaust
Rear swaybar
Endlinks(front and rear)
Suspension(GT wagon)
Fender airbox if someones got it
I think that's all I'll need...

I'll post another thread when I'm ready to start selling things off. However, if you have something in mind that you know I have, you are welcome to PM me with an offer, and I'll keep you in mind when I'm ready.
