AWESOME, that was i think the first time ive been called a noob since i posted 3 years ago about how to make fire come out of my exhaust. thats the cool thing about nasioc, you can really say anything you want without talking abotu credentials.

there is no show to watch, im here to discuss things not spectate. if there is any legitimate reason that a GT35r can flow rougly 3lbs or whatever the equivalent of 35whp is, just by tuning, then I would really like to learn about it. Crazy concept, but some people are here to learn, and not just for entertainment. either way, back to the show.

it's gonna be tough tonight, the track has a 11.9 rule. I'm gonna run the 1/8 a few times to get a good feel for it, then shoot for the 1 magic run

edit: I trapped 101mph in the 8th 3 consecutive runs.

That is crazy that the Sti's stock block is so stout!!! Hopefully it holds up at the track I'm curious as to what the numbers would be. Keep up the R&D guys, lets see how long this thing lasts, that is if it doesnt poop out on you at the track hehe!!!

What impresses me is that Austin has had 500whp+ for a while now and it's still making great power.

Since he already ran an 11.6 with less powa I think this will be a very low 11 second run, but I'm hopin for something in the 10s! Good luck Austin...

fyi
2006 NHRA rule book states 11.5 and faster requires a roll cage.

if they give you hassle about an 11.9 I'd shove the rule book up their arse.

I'm predicting big things for this one. Austin has hit 1.64 60 fters with the 18's Enkei's and Azenis 615's (on the 35R).

It might have been that it was 113 deg. outside. maybe if it was cooler out "like say 60 or70 deg."

I think if none of the rules get you kicked off the track...ie roll cage, lower then allowed times, etc, etc....Your going to loose a piston, or break a rod or something silly...

I'm actually going to shoot low and say you'll run 10.5 second quarter if it holds together....

Thats alot of power and a pretty agressive tune. I hope it doesnt blow up but 2 1/2 times stock horsepower on stock heads and block....yeah, that thing wont hold together long...its an STI not an SRT-4

oh man this would be sooooo much fun to watch in real life.....

Ya that stock motor is a trooper. It's held together when the meth pump crapped out twice on top of everything else!

what does an srt4 motor have to do with whether the engine will hold together?

I am just glad that there are people out there pushing things to let us know where the limits lie. If not for those pushing it, popular opinion will still be that if one goes past 350whp, the world will come to a grinding halt, and a second ice-age will occur, followed by the apocolypse.

Read the NHRA SC rule book. as fast as 10.00 with JUST a roll bar as long as floorboard and firewall are not moddified.

Obviuosly you arnt aware that the stock SRT-4 motor is commonly known to be more capable than a stock STI motor. It was just a metaphore...I think thats what its called
