Default Springs and Struts for a MY00 Legacy GT

Whats a good spring and strut combo for a MY00 LGT that wont break the wallet? I`ll looking at lower a little and having the same wheel gap in the front and rear.

I`ve done a search but havn`t come up with anything specific.

THanks

We really need to get that damn FAQ up

I run whitelines with GR2's and like them but I can not compare as these are the only springs I have run on this car.

Off the top of my head:
Whiteline
H&R
ION (local vendor I believe)
and some sti pink stuff but that seems hard to come by

As far as struts most are running KYB, either gr2 or agx.

I think its best to plan on around $500 for new springs and struts, could be a bit more or less depening on what you go with.

I know this has been covered a dozen times... maybe we need some meta?

MY00 MY01 MY02 MY03 MY04 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004
Legacy Outback LGT GT OB Sedan Wagon
Springs Struts Swaybars Suspension Mods

That ought to do it.

I run a Whiteline rear bar, H&R springs, and KYB-GR2's. I don't think we BE/BH guys can get AGX's... I looked when I was shopping.

EDIT: Some linky goodness.

Definately no AGX's for the BE/BH.

To add to Brian's list:

Intrax - although no one here has actually tried them.

Seems like the KYB-GR2's struts are what I`m going to get. I`m leaning towards the H&R springs. Wheres a good place to get these? Keep in mind Im located in canada. The struts Im going to get off of tire rack.

Do I only need the struts and springs, or do I need other parts to replace while Im at it?

Thanks guys.

Cheapest price for the H&Rs

This thread has all the info you will need if you decide on the Gr2/H&R combo, including part numbers.

I scored my GR-2s and H&Rs from Luke (who else?) at TireRack.

By the way, the tophats you'll need for the H&Rs in front:
Part no. 20323FA000
Dealer list: $13.28

To answer a popular question... yes, get two.
