Default USDM or JDM STi motor for the WRX swapped RS?

OK here is where I stand. I have an 01 2.5RS with a WRX swap and I'm buying a rolled over 04 USDM STi for a VERY GOOD PRICE. I'm trying to make this swap go as easy as possible but I'm was confronted with a very interesting propsition.

The DBW wiring is going to make this a pain. Infact this whole thing seems like its going to be a pain. I keep hearing that I'm going to have to rewire the entire swap and that just don't seem worth it.

So with that said a JDM ej207 swap might be the ticket. No DBW so the swap should be really straight forwad, few wires and im done theoreticly. And if I want torque later on I can get either a USDM 2.5l bottom end or an Crawford/Axis bottom end.

So should keep the USDM STi motor or sell it and get a JDM EJ207?

Oh and just so you know I'm swapping due to a failed ej205 bottom end in the car now. So if you have any other idea's send'em.

If you are set on buying the rolled STi; what I would do is swap in the STi long block. Sell everything else and get some EM. If you want avcs you could use a JDM STi ecu and have it reflashed.

if you don't want to rewire it I would buy the rolled sti, sell the motor, install the trans & brakes sell old parts, then buy a v7 motor it should net a profit
