Question Help - do I have all my parts?

I bought this kit along w/ a TECII from IANBROGLIE. It arrived last weekend all nice and packed up. I'm going to South Cali this weekend so my friend Eric and I can install the whole thing. Much thanks to EMPREZYA for hooking me up w/ a tranny cooler. Will all this work for my MY00 Auto 2.5RS? Am I missing a major component/minor component? Critical bolts? Oil lines/fuel lines? If you guys could give me a hand I'd be seriously grateful

Brydon

What kit is that?

If it's a Minnam/Technik stage 2 kit you'll probably need to fab a new downpipe and/or vent the wastegate to atmosphere because it hits the auto tranny.

Good luck!

Ummm I am guessing you have a seperate pic of the tec II items like the control unit wiring harness, plug wires, and various sensors, injectors (if you have em) . You may want to post that on Shiv's board www.vishnuperformance.com as he can help you with any other items like a fuel pump you may need.

I wold be worried about about the small peices like T fittings and small adapters like that. Not too hard to find, But make sure Napa or Pep Boys is open when you do the install.

I don't see an oil or feed line.

Can you show some more pics of the up pipe?

Forgot the oil pan like was pointed out, you can use the banjo style oil line (See ISR Performance), but that has been debated over its usefullness. Get a pan from Ludespeed.

Looks like an ASR kit. You might want to make some brackets to support the turbo and the downpipe. Have someone weld a bracket on the downpipe near the turbo and one downstream where the factory hanger is. Whatever you do, do not use the bolts on the back of the turbo (intake side) to hold a bracket. The genius I bought my kit from did and it stripped two holes in the aluminum housing. Also, trial fit the piping to make sure the silicone hoses fit; I had to buy my own. You might want to consider a clutch before you put everything in. Good luck!

Thanks bro, I'm pretty sure that I have all the parts, it was still in the original box 'cause the TECII was never installed on Ian's car.

I'm picking up a Ludespeed oil pan from Tom, anyone know where I can get a down-pipe for this kit?

Just caught the post. Looks like you have the oil line issue covered since you are getting a tapped oil pan. The kit is an ASR stage II (sent you an email). You will probably need some T's for vacuum and pressure lines also.

Auto tranny is that wide? Bummer, I did not know about that. I guess you could have a quality muffler shop copy the down pipe and make the necessary changes during the bending process.

Does anyone know where the ASR down pipe is to wide for the RS auto tranny? Maybe you could have the down pipe bent at a muffler shop? (if it is a small change) Just a thought.

Peace and good luck
Ian

Thumbs up

thanks again guys. More Q's. Where should I tap oil for the turbo? I'm getting the Ludespeed oil pan so the out is fine, but I don't know where to get the oil from to put into the turbo.

Also, what kind of upgraded fuel pump should I use, any recommendations? I have Shiv's TECII so I don't want to starve my stock fuel-pump!

Last question, what's a good BOV for this setup do you think? (ASR Stage II turbo kit, TECII engine management, MY00 RS running 6-7lbs boost to start, 9-10 later)

How much did you pay for all that?it seems to be missing alot. NO catylytic converter, no flex pipe, no downpipe bracket, gaskets?what about guages? got a new clutch? I bought a used technik stage II with a few missing pieces that cost me an additional $2000 in misc parts and guages, etc. GOOD LUCK!

Oh hey thanks for the concern dude, I paid $1,500 for this, it's an ASR Stage II turbo kit w/ Turbonetics t3/t4 hybrid and Turbonetics piping. My buddy is going to help me install it, so we're going to fabricate the brackets, and this thing has all the gaskets on it already. I actually bought a TECII and all the gauges from the same guy, so my total for the kit, turbo, TECII, gauges, and gauge pod was $4,200, I just didn't show all the parts in the picture. My car is Automatic, so I'm just going to use Emprezya's auto tranny cooler.

I'll let you guys know how it all went
