Default How to remove HVAC/Radio cover for 06 WRX

I saw a tutorial on here, and I remembered most of it but now I can't find it. I have a 06' WRX TR and I want to remove the silver trim around the HVAC controls and the CD player. I lifted up the shifter trim, and unscrewed the 2 screws at the bottom of the HVAC trim. BUT....where the trim piece meets the 2 air vents wont come off. Can someone either tell me where the tutorial went, or help me out so I don't break anything?

it just pops off, use a little right angle pick in the upper right hand corner, place it behind the cover and pull gently

Thanks. Last question...is the trim that surrounds the stereo/hvac connected to the 2 air vents or are they seperate? It seems like when I pull on the trim the air vents move as well.

the upper dash piece that surrounds the vents has two screws that hold it in, you just gotta take those out and you are home free

I am talking about the silver trim that surrounds the 2 vents directly above the cd player. Is that silver trim directly connected to the silver trim that is around the cd player and hvac controls? Because when I pull on the trim by the cd player, the silver trim around the vents moves as well. There is a line between the 2, but I can't tell if they are connected or not.
