I'm going with the Perrin column mount pod, so up for grabs is my custom gauge setup. The cubby pocket has been removed and modified to accomodate a single (can be modded further for a second) gauge. Installed is a mechanical (red backlit) Defi boost gauge. Yep, that's right, the Defi is included. The gauge is mounted with an angle towards the driver for great visibility. The face of the gauge has been recessed to allow the cubby door to still fully function so the gauge(s) can be concealed when parked.
Here are some photos and details:
this one shows daytime from nearly hanging out the driver window (note gauge angle)
here's a night shot
this is the mount plate prior to install (shows mounting angle)
this one shows a gauge (not the Defi) installed from the top prior to install
now for the not so good: note the last pic above, just above the gauge to left. on the top of the door you can see a little nic from a tool I was using...however, I assure you that the very top back edge of the door (where the nic is) cannot be seen once installed in car (check for yourself on yours). second, the tubes that connect the air ducting in the back of the dash (the little 4-5" black plastic duct extensions) to the cubby/clock/air-vent assembly were lost during the modification....this slightly affects the output of the air on the center vents only, but you can still feel air coming out.
What I am looking for:
Your stock UNDAMAGED/UN-MODIFIED cubby unit (cubby/clock/trip computer/A.C vents/ducts, etc....the whole assembly) in trade plus $100 plus shipping. Item includes modified cubby body, one Defi mechanical boost gauge, fully functional cubby door, clock, trip computer, the a/c vents and cubby bezel, a/c ducts not included. This unit is fully assembled and ready to pop in your dash. I must receive your unit before this one ships out. Paypal only. Aside from a few member trader feedback here on Nasioc, I have near 50 with 100%+ on Ebay, and a dozen or so verified sales on paypal.
I've tried to be as descriptive as possible in this thread, but if you have any questions ask away. I'm in Austin Texas 78745. If you're really not interested in buying the item, please save your comments. Thanks for reading
