STi Ver. V struts on GT?
I am pretty sure we covered this before, but I can't find it....
will STi V5 struts bolt up to a '99 legacy GT? And if so, is it a worthwhile upgrade...damping rates for Impreza may not be so hot for Legacy. then again, I hear the KYB strut is the same for both cars. Just some techie things to mull over on a rainy Sunday...

I have STi V5 struts from the Impreza in Japan with H&R springs on my '98 Legacy L, very very good ride, not too much lowering. I'm running my '99 Legacy GT wheels on the car, and it looks really good... hoping to get some pictures soon.
The set-up I have on my GT right now are the TEIN/AGX combo, which is good too, but more aggressive spring rates and adjustable dampening. |

I wonder how they'd be with the stock GT springs...

my guess would be that setup is overdamped. wouldn't it be much easier to swap out the springs at the same time as the shocks?

Clearly. There are Ver. V sstruts for sale in Classified for $295 a set. If I do that, it is becoming clear that I should delay install until I can spring for springs
