get down on the ground, look straight up. That's how easy it is on my 95. There should be 2 screws.

Default foglight removal question 98 legacy

Sorry for the nooblike question but my friend recently bought a 98 legacy and we are trying to replace the stock foglights, he already has the new housing and lights, etc... we just need to know what to do. Is there a guide anywhere we would really appreciate some quick help, at this stage we think we might need to remove the bumper cover.

I did some searching, but was unable to find anything... thanks!

Are you mounting aftermarket lights? I don't know what other work you'll need to do to accomplish that, but removing the stockers is simple.

As Mark said, there are just two bolts holding the foglight bracket. I was just changing bulbs on my '98 last week...

Use some penetrating oil, though, if yours are corroded as mine were.

Ya, they are aftermarket lights, we had to take the bumper cover off and we are going to need to trim it a little and modify the brackets, but we got it rewired and started modding the brackets, thanks for the help.

I've got a question. How hard is it to install the JDM Fog lights? I'm thinking about getting a set and was wondering what kind of Fabrication if any was needed to the bumper or if I could just put them on. I think the Connectors are pertty much the same and I don't think I'll need to rewire those like I did my JDM headlights.

here is a pic

The JDM fogs are considerably larger. The US Bumper will need to be cut to fit the fogs.

The JDM bracket will not just mount to the car so some metal work is involved.

The electrical can be changed fairly easy.

Light bulb changes will be modified. You most likely won't be able to just pull the fog light out, but the rear of the lense can be accessed behind a plastic flap.

The JDM fogs have normal forward lights, and side lights that are supposed to flip on in conjunction with the turn signals. So there is more complexity there if you want the same function.

Not a front on pic, but you can see here how much the JDM fog fills the bumper hole.
