MrNiceguy Scooby Newbie Member Sales Rating: (0) Member#: 111455 Join Date: Apr 2006 Chapter/Region: TXIC Location: Texas	F/S '99 Cougar Blck/5spd/28mpg I have a 1999 Black Mercury Cougar for sale. It has ~130,000 miles on it. It gets great gas mileage at 28 MPG. It's got some chips on the hood from rocks, normal wear for a 99 of course. Miles are about 60% highway, 40% city. Car runs wella and are known to run to very high mileage. I put some polished 16" stock cougar rims from a later year that look clean on the car. Struts could be replaced. The throwout bearing is not in good shape, but doesn't negatively affect anything except the quiet knocking noise you hear when the clutch isn't depressed. Clutch is in good shape. SparkNotes: Car has a couple of problems, but runs well as is even though its a little squeaky. Price: $3000 obo. I'm really just trying to get rid of this car because i despise front wheel drive.
