Aquamist Water Injection Reviews
Well I figured that we needed a thread for Aquamist users to share their experiences with Aquamist's products and service. So far I have been more than impressed with both their products and their customer service.
I recently purchased an Aquamist 1s system, which was perfect for what I plan on using the water injection for and is easily upgradable when I want more. After I recieved my kit I wanted to make the install as clean as possible, so I knew I wanted the new self sealing tank adapter that they just released. I also wanted to make the install as stealth as it could possibly be, so I decide to go with the black colored nylon line. Their products and parts are top notch quality!!! Now for the customer service. RichardL has been awesome to talk with. He has answer my many questions about my setup and giving his thoughts on what he felt would be good for my setup and goals. I also had some trouble getting ahold of a US distributor to order the parts through, and RichardL took care of this for me and made sure I got the parts I needed. He has ALWAYS been very responsive in returning my PM's and e-mails and I really like the fact that he is so envolved here on NASIOC. I like to see a company who is not afraid to go public and answer any questions or deal with any concerns that a customer may have. Before I purchased the Aquamist setup I was unsure if it would be worth the extra cost. After dealing with RichardL and seeing the setups in person I dont know how I could have ever doubted. If I had to do it over again I would go right back with the Aquamist setup's. -Matt

Good review. Even though it is a stealthy setup, any chance we can get some pics and more info on how you are running it? I am still waiting for my chance to get the Hydramist setup (hint hint Phil).

Yep, as soon as I get a chance to get it installed I will definitely post up some pictures. Since my Washer tank is behind the front bumper cover the install will be a little more difficult. I will most likely be required to remove the front bump cover just to get to the washer bottle. I just got the parts this week so hopefully within the next couple of weeks I will get it all setup.

I would really like to hear others experiences with the Aquamist setups as well as thoughts on their customer service. This should help people understand what they are paying for when ordering an Aquamist setup. Also specifics on others setups would be great as well. Such as jet sizing, filter location, pump mounting, sensor locations, ect.. -Matt |

....and the MAIN reason I relocated my battery was to free up space for the WI tank/pump

Would it not be appropriate to use a trunk water tank along side with WI and battery (if located).
Alternatively, some sti have a intercooler spray tank (with push pump), it would be also nice to use the pressurised water from the push pump for internal water injection rather intercooler spray purposes. There is another plus point that the long hose has already been run to the bulk head area. I can supply wiring instruction for you to do it. If you haappen to have a dash spray switch. we can utilised it for activating the aquamist pump without having to run a wire all the way back to the trunk. Having your own water/methanol tank will allow you to use the normal windscreen washer fluid for cleaning your window. Methanol will leave some white streaks on your screen when dry. These are just a few ideas you may consider before starting your installation. Richard |

I have the Aquamist 2D setup that was losing a lot of fluid (nothing that was Aquamist fault) due to the fact that the reservoir tank was shared with the intercooler sprayer. Richard talked me alllllllllllll the way with some fancy diagram, even sent out some diodes and free stickers (talk about the nicest way to bribe an already happy customer!!!) to help me iron out this little kink.
You know, if not for the product itself which is purely A+, the customer service given by Richard even though I didn't buy directly from him would have been WAY enough to win over anyone! |

the above pic is from my '02.....I swapped the same setup to my '06 and that same Odyssey PC680 battery has been in daily service since SEP03(except for ~3 months when it sat in the garage and waited for me to put it in the '06) One of my favorite mods, really ....and my plan is to use the 12L WRC tank behind the rear seat---with it's supplied pump and level indicator-----to pump low pressure fluid to a gallon underhood tank where the HP pump will pump it into the engine...a couple LED's to indicate when the rear tank is empty and when the underhood tank is ~1/3 full and ya REALLY need to re-fill Last edited by Uncle Scotty; 04-21-2006 at 11:48 AM. |
