hey, i was wondering if the "check engine light" will come up if i just changed the muffler or intake on an 02 lgt. the reason why i ask this is because i took off the resonator one time and the "check engine light" came up that time.
so..do u think just changing the muffler or intake would do the same thing?

I've got an aem CAI intake and a wrx muffler. and the CEL comes on during cold weather. Same thing happened on my 05 v6 accord though, so maybe its just the screwed up quebec air down here. lol.

The intake might, if the MAP is reading things a little different.
Reset the ECU, the problems should go away. If a code comes back on, get it read at the Advance auto. |

I'm running a Cobb CAI, Cobb lightweight pulley, Exedy flywheel and a Borla/Random/Fujitsubo exhaust. No CEL.
Reset the ECU, it should adapt. |

Maybe there is a problem with your O2 sensor.

Disconnect the battery, step on the brake pedal for a few minutes, and let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour. Reconnect, drive normally.
2.25" OD is the commonly accepted diameter for a 2.5 non-turbo exhaust. |
