Are you returning your car to its stock configuration so you can sell it, or are you in fact actually "parting it out" ?

If you are Parting it out, I would like to purchase your front bumper.

Of the parts listed for sale, I would be most interested in your REAR Strut Tower brace. How much do you wnat for it ?

I would also be interested in your struts & springs (assuming nobody else has spoken for them).

Thanks !

PS.
Is your car for sale as well ?

the 2001 legacy uses a multi-link rear suspension which is different from the 95-99 legacys.

btw, i've got the syms rear strut tower bar, and it's really very nice.

Any idea if the springs/stuts work equally well on a 98' GT wagon? Same question on the STI or SPO rear swaybar. Thanks!

AZ-GT, The sways would work fine on your Wagon, but I would caution against the Eibach/AGX combo for that car for a couple of reasons: GTGUY(Kevin) tried this combo and was disappointed about the degree of lowering, beyond the KYB factory recommendation, as well as the load carrying side of the Wagon. I'm waiting for Don at PDM to get a set of Wagon-specific WhiteLine springs to match up with some AGX's from PST for my GT. The lowering is minimal while the adjustability of the struts should make handling "nirvana" on a budget attainable. Don's placing his order this weekend for the Aussie product for about $180. Why not give them a try? The AGX's are <$400 from PST brand spanking new. http://www.pdm-racing.com/index_2.html http://www.p-s-t.com/kyb.html#agx

Just my $.02!

Thanks for the input on the AGX / Eibach combo. Not really looking for a drop, just improved handling. Sounds like the Whiteline springs with the AGX or FHI v5 might be just the ticket. I'm running a 18" outback rear sway bar now. I wonder what changing to the STI or SYMS would do for me?

I don't really know or recall reading if the various manufacturers use different tensile strength steel or some other diff in their bars, but the geometry must remain the same, with mounting points and links being identical. I think going to a larger bar would facilitate further change, but you might consider some stronger/stiffer links (like WhiteLine, again very reasonable through Don at PDM <$50) and changing over to Polyurethane bushings for the bar, both removing slop & decreasing reaction time from the effect of whatever bar you choose to use. I'm using an 18mm bar from SPO bought used, with rubber bushings and the WhiteLine links and am very happy with the overall improvement. This may change, of course, with the spring/strut swap.

Sure is nice to have some choices, but you still end up waiting so damn long to get some of these things together due to limited availability it's frustrating. Going on 100 days waiting on stainless brake-lines from Cobb at this point!! Guess "good things come to those who wait" had better prove to be true!!

Good luck AZ, with whatever you decide. Be sure to keep us posted.

How "Bad" is this crack ? Are you selling the entire bumper assembly, or just the bumper skin ? Do you have photos ?

Tell me more about the rear strut tower brace ?
Is is aluminum alloy ? Carbon Fibre ? is it detachable ? or do you need to unbolt it ?
For a regular strut tower brace, I have a problem offering you more than $ 120 or so..., on the other hand I dont want to insult your offer.

i think syms only makes 1 rear strut tower bar - aluminum, yellow ends, and detachable by undoing 1 bolt on each side. as a point of reference, i paid something like $260 for one about 6 weeks ago from rallispec.
