Exclamation the High speed USGP ride home

Hi all....

I was wondering if anyone on this board was in the WRX's I was following on the way back from Indy to Chicago. There was a blue sedan and a silver wagon. I was in a red boxster w/18's and the top down.

We jammed on the way back from the races! 125 was our top speed on the way back. The WRX were fun to play tag with. There was an 87/88 911 turbo that was FAST in the mix of cars we were running with. Check this out-- we averaged 27 mpg!

I have a WRX wagon when I am at home in Oregon, and was having fun with my dad while at the races (he has the Boxster).

The races were fun!

wow that sounds like it was fun. Wish we took that way home. But my little RS would have been pressed to keep up.

Did you take hwy 65 to Chicago?

My budy and I decided to go west on 74 and take Interstate 39 north and bypass Chicago. The reasoning was the horror stories of traffic problems form last year.

I was driving the sedan. And yes, I did take 65 to Chicago but I will not make that mistake again next year, the traffic was bad.
