Default mechanical helper for swap in Calgary

I'm looking to do a swap for an STI motor in my 04 2.5 RS,
I really dont know much at all about swapping, and i hear its quite the process.

I'm wondering if anyone would want to assist me in doing so over the summer? I would gladly pay them for their time, and hopefully I can learn some stuff in the process...

How will that tranny hold up with STi power??? I heard that the WRX 02-05 tranny is kinda weak with anything over 300hp.... I cant imagine a RS having a stronger tranny then the WRX.... That said....i would consider upgrading your tranny at the same time, besides your clutch might not like the added power either... hmmm just a thought

I'd go with an STI tranny whomever is wondering. I'm iffy on using the stock tranny, as i've heard mixed things. Surfer.tech (thi_thi) i doubt i'll have front mount right away, eventually that's the path I want to go though. I'm unsure of how a front mount kit would work for a jdm sti engine...

save yourself the hassle and headaches, just sell your car and buy a sti.... unless your getting a sti driveline pretty much given to you.

Okay, that would be unique then You should mention that cause the wiring is a lot harder than the usdm sti's I imagine. Unless you have a good translator

I've seen enough of one to know to stay away.

On a GC8 I might do it, but IMO a swap on a bug eye or later isn't worth the pain.

+1 for selling the RS and buying a WRX or STi.
