Default Wheel Bearing replacement cost? [searched]

Searched to no avail. I was wondering what I should expect to pay for a rear wheel bearing replacement on a BG. I was thinking of taking it to Mastro Subaru in Tampa, but I don't want to be had.

Thanks for any help!

well the part will be at least 60$+ if you go with OEM.. at least that's the price for 00 Legacy.. then add about 2.5 hours of labor.. and should give you estimate..

when I did mine, it was $30 for the wheel bearing @ autozone and a local mechanic charged me $60 a side to install it.

That is a really good price, I took my spindle and hub off and carried it to the mechanic and got charged 20.00 dollars for him to press it in.

I did mine myself. boy, what a PITA. If I had to do it again, I'd still DIY. I think I paid ~130 per side for parts (bought both sides since I couldn't tell which one was making the noise). still have a bearing + nut if you have a 00-04.

oh, invest in a sledgehammer (already had the press, which is a MUST)

Man, my local Subie dealer sucks. They told me $685 to have ONE side replaced in my WRX this morning! I walked out. Glad I did.
