Default Possible to make Hks SSQV recirculating?

I have been wondering for awhile if there is a way to make the Hks SSQV recirculating like stock? Maybe some kind of adapter that screws onto the top that allows it to pop into the return hose? Any info someone has would be great

HKS sells a recirculating kit. You can read about it here

http://www.hksusa.com/categories/?id=1063

it shows universal kits and parts, but I'm sure if you call them they can help.

What part about the problem with aftermarket BOVs sucking has very little to do with venting to atmosphere dont you guys understand??

You could somehow probably make it recirc, but that isnt going to fix the fact that it leaks like a bastard, which causes your turbo to overwork to make the same boost, producing a hotter, less dense, more detonation prone air charge.

I dont care about that, my car runs perfectly fine. I am just tired of the noise everytime I shift and want it quiet again. I have a fmic with a universal hks welded on so I can not go back to stock.

i think all noise maker mods are fun and everyone has to atleast try it before they get rid of it...is just a fact of life.

For the price of that, I would think you could find a used stock BOV on eBay or something.

**EDIT I'm stupid . . . you said FMIC. . . duhh!!

could you elaborate a little more?

He did some tests measuring intake temps post-turbo and found that they were higher with all of the aftermarket BOVs he tested. This indicated that the BOVs were leaking boost because the turbo was having to spin faster to generate the same boost as without the leak. This increase in intake charge temp increases the chances of detonation occuring as he mentioned. Also your turbo will die sooner than if no leak was present...
