Default Fs. Re070

I bought these tires from someone on this board over the winter. When I got these mounted it turns out they have very small flat spots on each tire which the tire guy said was due to damage while driving or storing them improperly. The flat spots are not noticable till you get to around 90 and then smooth out again at 140. At highway speeds there is a slight shake in the steering wheel. As I spend most of my time on the highway I am buying new tires. I thought some one would be interested in these as an autocross tire as there is still lots of tread left. Just wanted to be honest when selling these as I got screwed. I paid $380.

$200 o.b.o., make me an offer

Cheers,
Mike

(copied from the other thread cause its more relevant here)

If there was something wrong with those, why have you made no contact with me whatsoever?

I dont appreciate that at all. What kind of coward finds out what they bought is defective and doesnt let the seller know, instead stays silent for several months, then accuses them of being a scammer in front of the community? How do you know I wouldnt have given your money back? In fact, I will. If there was actually something wrong with those, bring them over and I'll give you back everything you paid plus an extra $25. I am no scammer.

Weak, dude.

Lets think about this, if a likely cause was improper storage, and you know I havent had a Subaru in quite a while, how could I have had any idea at all? Yeah, I put them on my feet and ran around the block at 100km/h and my legs started to shake so I put them on the subaru forum hoping no one would notice

I had looked at your profile to try and get a hold of you but you had not been on the boards for a couple of months. So what was the point at that time. You can understand why I was a little upset.
Okay, so my first post in a while and now that you see Im active, why wouldnt you even shoot me a message saying "hey man there was a problem with those tires", instead of just take the opportunity to declare me a scammer.

A private message would have sent me an email notification and Id probably have responded the same day. Lots of members have contact info for me too, even a post asking if anyone knew how to get a hold of me would have got responses. "I just assumed that since I lost your info and you hadnt posted in a while that you were a scammer" doesnt really fly.

So, Rick, do you still want these?

Maybe not the best way to vent my anger, for that I apoligize and will edit my posts on the other thread.

As for storage issue, at the tire shop where I had them installed the guys first impresion is that they had been damaged while driving, a prolonged skid he thought. He said also if the car had sat for a long time on flat tires it could also cause the same problem. He said that since they were not on rims that how they were stored would cause that big a deal. As they were rimless and stacked on there side, as they should be, when I came to pick them up I never considered your storage method.

Actually i would still like these, admittingly I do Abuse the Rubber on my car like their's no tommorow, so much so that an Imperfection or flat spot on the tire would be gone in a matter of days, but I'm currently leaving for two months; so Bernard dood if you want them take them...
