Have a Nice Day? Stromung Sound? Wagon!

Hey Guys and Gal.....has anyone installed the Stromung in a Legacy wagon!?

Well I just did and am now kinda confused. When I started the car up......DANG! Just the start up alone sounds sweeeeet....that first puff of exhaust. Then its almost silent. Took it out on the road and it was pretty loud under accel. I don't know if the wagon cabin has anything to do with it - but it sounds like it booms between 2-4K....then it silences out after that. Decel. also makes it boom and then silences out when the R's drop.

This boominess....do you guys have that "feature" in your sedans?

Has anyone installed this or any performance muffler in their wagon?

When I cruise....its very quiet.

I would like it to boom less under accel and decel........any sugestions? Should I get insulation material in my cargo area? Should I get rid of the muffler - noooooo.

One good thing is that it forces me to accel. slowly and no more punching the gas freely.

Help.....

I'll see if it grows on me......but I don't want to loose my hearing.

Could be just me.

Thanks

Cool

I have a stromung on my GT sedan. I personally don't think its that loud inside(compared to my friends legacy turbo with a flow master)but you may be right about being louder because you have a wagon. Did you have your resonator removed? If you did you might consider putting it back in. I also think you can get a resonator for it, that may cut down on a few decibles.

Lightbulb

YOU CAN ALSO INSERT A SILENCER BY APEX OR GREDDY AT THE TIP...IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE TIP SIZE IN DIAMETER AND DEPTH...I.E. CONVERTS A 4" TIP TO 2"...YOU MAY EXPERIENCE AN INCREASE IN BACK PRESSURE!!!
